JANIEKA TUDOR-BAPTISTE / FOUNDER
Mrs. Janieka Tudor-Baptiste, the founder of Milwaz Productions has been a Literatures in English Teacher and Dean of discipline at Bishop Anstey & Trinity College East Sixth Form from 2013-present, where she passionately inspires and nurtures the young minds of many students. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language and English Literature with Education (2011), from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, along with a Certificate in Technical Theatre (2016) from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and a Diploma in Education (2017).
RENALDO BRIGGS
Renaldo Briggs has been a member of Milwaz Productions for 8 years. He has served in the capacity of an Actor in Productions such as “Othello, Wajang Therapy, A Raisin in the Sun, The Tempest and Plot.” He has also served as an Actors Manager and Stage Hand. He is currently the Director of our 2023 Production “Twelfth Night”. Renaldo Briggs is a lover of everything theater who has expanded is portfolio by becoming a Spoken Word artist.
GABRIELLA WYKE
Gabriella Wyke is an artist and photographer from Trinidad and Tobago where her passion for the arts was first discovered and developed.
While Wyke’s artisitc career and business, Gifts from Gab Studios is photography based, she has always had a particular love for the performing arts. From a very tender age Wyke was introduced to music and dance and still functions in a performance capacity today.
However it was only when she met her former high school teacher and Milwaz Director, Janieka Tudor- Baptiste was she exposed to the exciting worlds of Literature, Theatre Arts and subsequently Milwaz Productions. In her opinion, Milwaz Productions helped her to realize and develop even more artistic talents which she is now able to utilize today her artistic career.
As such Wyke has served Milwaz from its inception in an artistic capacity by means of costume design, prop and set design, graphic design and photography. Today Gabriella continues to serve, now as a head of department and as Creative Director where her main desire is to pour back into the youth just as Milwaz Productions did for her.
